Tilley, Ewan

Ewan is the founder and editor of State & Confusion, a Marxist theoretical blog focused on political organisation, programme, and class composition. He has previously served on the leadership of DSYP and Your Party Youth and Students.

E2

Noonan-Gunning, Sharon

Sharon is a voice of the local working class in the Old Kent Road.

Sharon has been fighting for the working class all her life. From a family of Irish migrants, she began campaigning at 16 and was a shop steward at 21.

Living in Bermondsey, then Deptford and back, she set up a tenants’ association in her tower block, campaigning for fair rents and decent conditions. She’s led campaigns against domestic violence, racism and police injustice.

She joined Labour under Jeremy Corbyn and was selected to stand for Southwark Council. But she was driven out by right-wing Labour officials, because she put local people first.

Sharon leads Right to Food London, campaigning for a legal right to food. She organised free food distribution through local hubs, because no one should go hungry or suffer malnutrition.

A proud supporter of Millwall FC, Sharon stands up for working-class people of all races, religions and genders.

Sharon is a socialist who believes in a world under the control of the working class, of solidarity and care, where everything is produced and distributed for public need, not private profit.

Mullings, Mel

Mel Mullings is a prominent figure in the RMT union and a passionate advocate for social and environmental justice. A passionate campaigner for Reparations, Mel is the Chair of the RMT Reparations Conference. Her leadership is also showcased in her roles as Bakerloo Branch Secretary, Chair of the RMT Women's Advisory Committee, and Secretary of the RMT LTRC Black Solidarity Committee. She champions climate action as co-chair of the RMT & LESE TUC Environment Group and is a co-founder of BLM Croydon. Through her extensive work, Mel consistently bridges the gap between labour rights, racial equality, and environmental justice.
